Ticket policy

Starting in July 2011, the Alabama Social Media Association will sell more free tickets than event capacity.

We want a full house for every event. This helps our generous sponsors, this creates a good audience for our guest speakers, and it provides better networking for you the attendee.

(We have tried waiting lists in the past, but because of last-minute cancellations, we have been unable to provide tickets for everyone who is actually able to attend.)

What this means is that we will make a reasonable estimate on how many tickets to offer. Once those tickets sell out, no more will be provided, nor will we have a waiting list. You may, of course, transfer your ticket to anyone you designate should you be unable to attend.

At our events, we will limit entrance to ticket holders in order of arrival. The earlier you sign in, the more likely you will have a seat.

We want to be fair to all of our guests, so we are testing this system to see if we can maximize attendance with no additional effort on your part.
